We want people to find genuinely good deals from real local shops, close to home, today. And we want those shops to reach their neighbours without pouring money into advertising that eats their margin. When a corner bakery can fill its afternoon by posting a deal in thirty seconds — and keep every penny of the sale — that's the whole point.
What we promise
- Free for shops. No commission, ever. We never take a percentage of a sale. What a shop earns, a shop keeps. We're not another platform skimming the till.
- No ads cluttering the experience. Sastamal shows real deals from real shops — not paid banners, not third-party adverts competing for attention.
- Free for everyone to use. Shoppers never pay, and never need an account, to see what's on near them.
- Deals are honest. A deal is a real offer at a real price, from a verified local shop. That trust is the whole platform.
- Local means local. We're built around your high street and your neighbourhood, not a faceless national marketplace.
How we'll keep the lights on
One day sastamal may offer optional paid tools to shops that want extra reach — but only ever as something a thriving shop can choose, never by charging for access, never by taking commission, and never by burying honest deals beneath paid ones. If we ever have to choose between revenue and the trust of the shops and shoppers who use us, we choose trust.
