sastamal does not:

process payments
take commission
sell products on behalf of businesses
guarantee stock, pricing or availability

We simply connect businesses with nearby customers.

In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “sastamal” mean the operator of the platform. “You” means anyone using it, whether as a customer or a business.

Part 1 — Customer Terms

Using sastamal

You may browse deals and updates freely. You don’t need an account. Please use the platform for its intended purpose — finding out what local businesses have on right now.

Accuracy of deals

Each business is responsible for its own listings, including pricing, availability, descriptions and expiry times. We don’t check or verify individual deals before they go live.

If anything about a deal is unclear, confirm the details directly with the business before relying on it.

Purchases

Any purchase is made directly between you and the business. sastamal is not a party to that transaction and is not the seller.

This means the business — not sastamal — is responsible for fulfilling the order, honouring the offer, and handling anything that follows, including returns and refunds. Your statutory rights as a consumer are against the business you buy from.

Acceptable use

You must not:

misuse the platform or disrupt its normal operation
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
scrape, harvest or bulk-copy content
impersonate any person or business
upload or transmit malicious code
use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Intellectual property

The sastamal name, logo and branding belong to sastamal.
Business logos and content remain owned by the businesses that supply them.
You may not copy, reproduce or reuse content from the platform without permission from its owner.

What we can and can’t promise

sastamal provides information; it doesn’t stand behind the deals themselves. We can’t guarantee:

that a deal is still available
that pricing or stock levels are accurate
the quality of any product or service

You use the platform, and act on what you find here, at your own discretion.

Part 2 — Business Terms

These apply to any business that receives a posting link and publishes on sastamal.

Eligibility

To publish on sastamal, you confirm that you:

represent a legitimate, genuine business
are authorised to publish deals on that business’s behalf
will comply with all applicable UK laws, including consumer protection and advertising rules

Deal accuracy

You agree to publish only:

truthful pricing
accurate descriptions
genuine, available offers
correct expiry times

You should honour any deal while it is live, except in genuinely exceptional circumstances (for example, stock unexpectedly selling out). Repeatedly publishing offers you don’t honour is a breach of these Terms.

Automatic expiry

Deals expire automatically at the end time you choose. You are responsible for selecting an appropriate expiry time. Once a deal expires, it is removed from public view.

Your secure posting link

Your posting link is a private credential unique to your business. You are responsible for:

keeping it confidential
not sharing or publishing it publicly
telling us promptly if you think it has been lost, shared, or misused

Anyone with your link can post as your business, so treat it like a password. We may replace or revoke a link at any time if we believe it has been compromised or misused.

Acceptable content

You must not publish:

misleading or deceptive offers
offensive, discriminatory or harmful content
illegal products or services
spam or repetitive low-value posts
copyrighted material you don’t have permission to use
content unrelated to your business

Images and intellectual property

By uploading content (including logos and images), you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant sastamal a non-exclusive licence to display and format that content on the platform for as long as you use the service. This licence ends when the content is removed, except for copies retained in routine backups for a reasonable period.

Moderation

To keep the platform trustworthy, we may:

edit formatting (not meaning) for consistency
remove individual deals
suspend a business
revoke a posting link
remove a business from the platform

Where it’s appropriate and practical, we’ll try to contact you first — but we may act immediately where content is unlawful, harmful, or clearly in breach of these Terms.

Verification

We may take steps to verify that a business is genuine, and that we are dealing with someone authorised to act for it, to build trust and reduce fraud.

Part 3 — General Terms

These apply to everyone.

Platform availability

We work to keep sastamal running, but the service may sometimes be unavailable — for maintenance, updates, technical issues or security work. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Limitation of liability

sastamal is an information platform that connects businesses and customers. We are not responsible for:

the transactions between customers and businesses
disputes between them
product or service quality
delivery or fulfilment
refunds or returns

We provide the platform “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why. Please read it alongside these Terms.

Changes to the platform

We may introduce, change or remove features, and update the website, as the platform develops.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date. Continuing to use sastamal after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or permanently remove any user or business that:

abuses the platform
commits or attempts fraud
repeatedly publishes misleading information
otherwise breaches these Terms

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

Some standard legal points

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Waiver. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
Entire agreement. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy and any policy they reference) are the whole agreement between us about the platform.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example if the business is sold, without reducing your rights.
Third parties. No one other than you and sastamal has rights under these Terms.
Electronic communications. You agree we may communicate with you electronically.
